Today, let´s review the dividend income for the month of September. In total, I received $284.25 from 13 different companies. In the table below are all the details. A comparison with last years’ September income ($16,83) is not indicative because I was still in the setup phase of my Dividend Growth Journey.
Security | Ticker | Sep 19 |
3M | MMM | $23,04 |
Bolsas y Mercados Españoles | BME | $15,98 |
CenturyLink | CTL | $75,00 |
Discovery Financial Services | DFS | $2,64 |
Enbridge | ENB | $55,65 |
Gladstone Commercial Corp | GOOD | $12,50 |
Gladstone Investment Corp | GAIN | $5,88 |
Home Depot | HD | $8,16 |
IBM | IBM | $8,10 |
Principal Financial Group | PFG | $5,50 |
Prudential | PRU | $25,00 |
Realty | O | $6,80 |
The Kraft Heinz Company | KHC | $40,00 |
Total | $284,25 |
Three of the stocks pay a monthly dividend: GOOD, GAIN and O. BME pays a dividend 3 times a year and the remaining nine stocks pay quarterly dividends. Compared to three months ago with an income of $285.30, there is a minor drop because I only invested more money into KHC, did not get a dividend from Mapfre this month and the dividend increases from DFS (10%) and PFG (2%) are almost invisible as they are very small positions in my portfolio. Nonetheless, any increase is welcome.
I am not disappointed that the dividend income this month is lower than last month. My dividend growth journey has just begun, and I am still working on building a nice base portfolio. The actual payout month at this point is irrelevant for me. All dividends are being reinvested to grow the snowball.
